The BMW Assembly and Logistics Hall in Shenyang is a key production facility within the BMW Group's global manufacturing network, supporting large-scale vehicle assembly, logistics, and highly coordinated manufacturing operations. Designed to meet the demanding requirements of modern automotive production, the facility reflects BMW's continued commitment to advanced manufacturing, operational excellence, and sustainable industrial development.
CUSTOM LIGHTING SOLUTION
Drawing on its extensive expertise in industrial lighting, optical design, and product R&D, TRIECO developed and delivered a customized LED lighting solution tailored to the specific operational requirements of the BMW automotive plant. Covering approximately 300,000 square meters of production space, the solution was carefully engineered to provide reliable, efficient, and high-quality illumination across assembly lines, logistics areas, workstations, and other critical production zones, while meeting the diverse lighting needs of a highly complex manufacturing environment.
LIGHTING PERFORMANCE & ENERGY IMPACT
By integrating high-efficacy, low-glare LED luminaires with an intelligent dimming system, the project significantly improved both lighting performance and energy efficiency. Overall energy consumption was reduced by approximately 40%, while the illuminance uniformity ratio was increased to above 0.8, ensuring more consistent and balanced illumination throughout the production environment. The optimized lighting conditions help enhance visual comfort, reduce glare and eye fatigue, and provide employees with clearer visibility for precision-based manufacturing tasks, while intelligent controls further improve operational flexibility and energy management.
STRATEGIC SUPPORT
Fully aligned with BMW's global lighting and manufacturing standards, the solution supports the development of a smarter, more energy-efficient, and digitally connected production environment. By combining advanced LED technology, intelligent lighting controls, and application-specific engineering, the project contributes to BMW's vision for the digital factory while demonstrating the value of close collaboration between Chinese engineering expertise and German automotive manufacturing standards. It stands as a strong example of Sino-German cooperation in smart manufacturing and sustainable industrial development.
